Shooting sports bring people together

Shooting is a mentally and physically challenging activity that requires a high level of concentration. Sport shooting is bound by rules and regulations. Strict safety requirements, knowledge tests and protective regulations laid down by law, which are constantly updated and monitored, support these guidelines.

The members of the shooting committee

The members of the Shooting Commission advise the Executive Committee on all matters relating to firearms legislation. They are responsible for ensuring compliance with regional firearms legislation at EGS shooting events. On this basis, they also review applications for the EGS King and Prince Shooting Competition.

All decisions made by the Shooting Commission in relation to shooting events are binding and cannot be appealed.

The Shooting Commission currently consists of representatives from Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Poland. The Shooting Commission has no role in the knighthood and is therefore not part of the Knights’ Council.
